LOCAL SCHOOL AWARDED £4,500 FOR NEW ROOF

St Canice's Primary School will receive a £4,565 investment.

A County Derry Primary School is set to receive over £4,500 in investment from the Department of Education under the minor works programme.

St Canice’s in Feeny will be given the money in order to upgrade its roof after Education Minister Peter Weir announced that funding was to be provided for projects less than £500,000 in 2016/17.

The programme should benefit a number of local schools with projects ranging from minor improvements to more significant work and extensions.
